Otolaryngology
As a board certified otolaryngologist, Dr. Burt has more than 20 years experience in private practice, and has treated patients of all ages from allergies and sore throats to surgeries across the spectrum of ear, nose, throat needs. Dr. Burt earned his specialty certifications after completing the board exams following his residency years at Loma Linda University in California and training at Prince George’s General Hospital residency program affiliated with the University of Maryland. He belongs to a long list of professional organizations including The American Academy of Otolaryngology, American College of Surgeons, American Medical Association, and American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy. He has volunteered heavily with the Boy Scouts of America and also dedicated many hours in the past providing medical care to programs such as Rotacare, and Peninsula Pop Warner athletic teams. He has been married for the past 28 years to his wife Joan and together they have three children, all whom reside locally.
